What is PRP Therapy?
PRP treatment uses platelet-rich plasma consisting of the liquid portion of blood called plasma, and a type of blood cell called platelets that play an important role in the body’s natural healing. After processing a volume of whole blood into PRP, the remaining solution contains exceptionally high concentrations of platelets (which contain a multi-fold increase in regenerating growth factors) and numerous bioactive proteins.
We accomplish this by extracting a small volume of whole blood and then using certified and advanced centrifugation technology. This helps to isolate and concentrate the cellular components in the blood that are involved in tissue regeneration, separating them from the other components that don’t. This powerful and concentrated mixture is then further processed before injecting it into areas of injury or degeneration, thereby accelerating the healing process at those sites.
