Using the latest naturopathic methods, our holistic approach to providing relief from arthritis pain is minimally invasive with minimal pain. We can get you to a pain-free life, without strong medications and other interventions.

Relieve Pain Naturally Without Surgery

Arthritis, like any joint pain, can prove to be quite disruptive to our lives. It can make daily chores difficult, and staying healthy and active a challenge. Conventional treatments, often in the form of medications or other interventions, may temporarily relieve arthritic pain. However, these treatments may have unwanted side effects associated with them or may be minimally effective in the long term. As a natural and non-surgical solution, regenerative injection therapy (or “RIT”) is an available option to help remedy joint pain from arthritis or other degenerative ailments.

What is Regenerative Injection Therapy?

Regenerative injection therapy (“RIT”) is a non-surgical procedure that involves injecting natural substances such as dextrose (prolotherapy), platelet-rich plasma (PRP), ozone, or other compounds into injured or degenerative areas. Regenerative injections stimulate our body’s natural healing response,  helping to repair tissues such as ligaments, tendons, joints, muscles, fascia, and skin. While other medical treatments can provide temporary relief, the goal of these injections is more remedial, helping to  alleviate pain and improve function in the process.

Dr. Schlee offers various Naturopathic remedies, including regenerative injection therapy for arthritis and joint pain.

About Dr. Schlee

How RIT Works for Arthritis

Arthritis is an inflammatory condition, affecting large and small joints alike. As degeneration or injury sets into a joint, this can cause pain and swelling as our bodies attempt to reverse these changes. Healing can be accelerated by injecting regenerative substances into the affected areas. While not exclusive, these substances may trigger a localized and modulated inflammatory response, and in turn, increase blood flow to the area. While it may be counterintuitive to stimulate inflammation in the area, the process of regeneration involves inflammation as a natural step. When properly controlled, this can help promote the body’s natural healing process, thus developing new and healthier tissues. As these injections progress, they can help to gradually restore injured or degenerative tissues, and thus remedy the associated pain and swelling.

Regenerative Injection Therapy Benefits

The benefits of regenerative injections vary between each patient, as well as their individual response to the treatment. If you suffer from arthritis and joint pain, our goals are not only to help reduce or eliminate the associated pain but also to help remedy the degeneration where possible. Along with minimizing the need for conventional medication or surgery, regenerative injections can:

  • Reduce or eliminate pain
  • Decrease swelling associated with arthritis or injury
  • Improve function in the affected joint(s)
  • Increase range of motion
  • Improve strength and stability
